Knowledge should be a shared resource.
Free access, transparent tools, and the work of building useful public goods.
Useful knowledge becomes more valuable when more people can reach it. That is the starting point of EMHO Initiative: small, practical learning tools with clear limits and room for collaboration.
Free access is a beginning
Removing a price or an account requirement makes a tool easier to try. Accessible design, transparent behavior, and understandable content matter just as much.
We aim to keep core learning independent of cloud AI subscriptions. Optional on-device models are an enhancement, not a condition for learning.
Open code needs clear rights
Source code being visible does not automatically make it open source. A project's license determines whether and how its code can be reused. Content, fonts, recordings, and model weights can have separate terms.
Check those terms before building on a project.
Public-good ambition, honest claims
EMHO is an initiative inspired by sharing knowledge as a public resource. The projects featured here are not presented as certified entries in the Digital Public Goods Alliance registry.
Our direction is evidence-informed learning, multiple perspectives, human judgment, and open collaboration. Those are commitments to work toward, not a substitute for evidence of impact.
